U turn on Winter Gardens
Reisdents will remember the flagship Lib Dem promises to 'Save the Winter Gardens' during the last local elections. Some Lib Dem candidates promised to resign if the building was not saved - even promising to stand in front of the bulldozers before they would allow the Winter Gardens to be knocked down. Little did we know how hollow all these promises were. Shame on the Lib Dems for making such promises simply to win an election. Politics is about decision making - some decisions may be unpopular. But to say one thing during an election and then do another simply brings into question all the promises they make.
